Design for the other 90%

After seeing all the cool graphic design inside, innovative teaching tools for kids, clothing that was twisted, turned inside out and bent out of shape, ocean graphics, plates that had a space for a candle in the mould, design for the other 90% got back to the basics, outside.

Of the world's total population of 6.5 billion, close to 5.8 billion people, have little or no access to most of the products and services, many people take for granted; infact half do not have regular access to clean water, food or shelter. This exhibit explores more than thirty projects which reflect the movement among designers, engineers, students, professors, architects and social entrepreneurs to design low cost solutions.
